Thanks Courtney and Michael! I'm pretty sure that we are not alone, and I suspect that many change agents step into the role in order to have more control but forget how difficult it can be for people on the receiving end. Courtney, have you articulated who your ideal clients are?

I followed your link from the Question the Rules forum. As I read this I realized that I too embrace change when it's on my end, but am sometimes resistant when it's coming from others. When a major, but not ideal, client stopped needing work from me this month it was a shock (especially since we're moving this month and I'd counted on the income). After a good cry I realized it was a blessing in disguise that it was pushing me to seek out more of my ideal clients. I think as long as we remember to roll with the punches it becomes easier to take change that is not based on our own design.

Great blog!
